The crayon initiative based out in California started with just a simple question – what happens to all those crayons in a restaurant. Bryan Ware was in a birthday meal with his family were his sons were playing with crayons before the food arrives. He then became curious on what happens to the crayons after they are used in restaurants. He later learned that they are quickly disposed regardless if they were only slightly used or not at all on a table.

He then started the crayon initiative to reduce waste and help children in hospitals in California. He collected the crayons, melted and molded into new crayons.

Here they are melting same colored crayons.
